ERosion Control - Intern
We are looking for an Erosion Control Intern to serve as an integral member of our Erosion Control Production team. With our vast portfolio of work, you will get experience in aspects such as pre-bid assessment and design,project planning and management, and erosion control production. This position will provide mentoring and practical hands-on experience and assist the intern with achieving deliverables related to erosion control. What You’ll Gain:

Responsibilities:
Our internship program provides a realistic view of what it's like to work in erosion control through meaningful, hands-on experiences. From coordinating subcontractors and suppliers to design and field work, our interns assume a wide variety of responsibilities
Interns will work in office, warehouse and job sites. You will learn and apply industry and company safety standards in the workplace (both field and office) and quality processes for design and erosion control. This experience will allow you to gain exposure to cost estimating, scheduling, forecasting, and contract management. Throughout the summer you will engage with project teams in the office and field to identify challenges and opportunities in the project execution cycle, perform as a team member to create solutions in a collaborative environment that results in better project outcomes and gain an understanding of the project lifecycle.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Ensure compliance to company and jobsite training, policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Construction Management, Soil science, Agronomy, Environmental Science, environmental engineering, land reclamation or similar natural science program through an accredited university
Experience with cultivating, planting, field management, and/or weed management
Strong math background
Customer service oriented, good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
At least 18 years of age
Farming experience running 500-200hp tractors a plus
Knowledge in safety and OSHA requirements, construction materials and methods, Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes, reading construction prints and drawings, interpretation of scopes of work, interpersonal skills, and internal & external communications a plus

Ability to do physical labor and other physical tasks
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work with little or no supervision
Ability to work in an industrial environment including temperature extremes of heat and cold, dust, noise, outdoor weather conditions, and wear all required personal protective equipment.

Field Production Laborer
Our Vegetation Production Specialists are critical to the execution of our erosion control plan for our customers. Primary duties include providing consultation to management on the development of RFPs.
The ideal candidate will be an individual with good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
Requirements • 7-10 years experience • Experience in erosion and sediment control or related fields highly desirable, soil/plant nutrient planning and management and knowledge of agronomic and soil sciences also desirable • Proficient written and verbal communication skills a must
Erosion Control Laborer
As a working member of a team, you will use knowledge, experience and intuition to address on-the-job issues and responsibilities. Operate and maintain various machines, load and unload materials, install erosion control items including seeding, fertilizing, straw mulching, etc on large scale job sites and follow directions from supervisor(s) and other skilled tradesmen.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and care for construction equipment and machines
Help equipment operator and other skilled labor when necessary
Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards
Load or unload construction materials
Assemble and disassemble temporary structures
Use hand tools including sledge hammer, shovel, rake, pick axe, etc.
Install, maintain and remove erosion control items including silt fence, hydroseeding (grassing), straw mulch, erosion control blankets, straw wattles, etc.
Perform site clean-up
Perform other related duties as assigned
